The Taurus Judge, The Ultimate Close Range Public Defender
87Self Defence Designed For Vehicles.
With the Taurus Judge we've got a hand gun designed specifically for self defence within the confines of one's own personal motor vehicle. This personal firearm was designed with car jackers and car jacking specifically in mind. Often times car jacking victims are found dead at the scene of a crime, and no one in the United States of America should have to become a statistic due to any state or federal law that inhibits a persons right granted by their own creator to defend themselves against any who would take that life.
Though the Obama administration would like you to relent all of your Constitutional rights, and eliminate firearms altogether, should we all stand up for our rights, then that would be an impossible task for that administration, or any following administration with no regards for the United States Constitution or it's citizen's Bill Of Rights. I suppose that if you just want to be a slave to global oligarchs, then you should indeed sell your weapons to Mexican Drug Cartels, but do note that that tactic has already been used in an attempt to intimidate the American Public with ever the more fear so that big daddy government can come and rescue us all.
I'll pass, thank you very little.
In these times of increasing economic desperation there are increasingly desperate persons that we all come into contact with, and your car is worth more money in parts at a chop shop than it's worth intact. Car jacking has existed probably since the time that cars existed, but in a climate where mass media deals exclusively in consumerism, lasciviousness, lies, and fear; and the education system deals only in indoctrination into a corporate super state - crime on the roadways such as road rage and car jacking are increasingly common.
Thank you Taurus, for making the Taurus Judge specifically for persons in auto-mobiles to defend themselves against car jackers!

13 Politically Incorrect Gun Rules
The Taurus Judge .45 Caliber and .410 Shotgun Pistol
So the Taurus Judge is the ultimate close quarters handgun, and was specifically designed for protecting YOU in your vehicle from car jacking and car jackers. The Taurus Judge has a rifled barrel, a very very short rifled barrel; but a rifled barrel just the same.
Why is this important? Well, what it means is that when firing the .410 shotgun shells through the Taurus Judge, the shot in the shells spin while going through the barrel, and that spreads the shot out. You can't really miss what you're shooting at from a close range with the Taurus Judge and .410 shot.
Look, a lot of us don't actually want to kill anyone for any reason, and by firing the .410 shot from the rifled barrel, you not only increase the chance that you're going to hit what you're shooting at, but you also decrease the chance that you're going to kill it. Of course the Taurus Judge will fire more than small shot or bird shot from the .410 shotgun shells, you can also fire highly lethal buckshot or slugs from the defensive weapon too.
Now, to be clear, nobody should ever pull a gun or fire a gun at someone that they're not in mortal danger from and do not intend to rid the planet of - but to be clear, the Taurus Judge also fires .45 caliber bullets. The Colt .45 was called the peace maker, for the reason that such a large slug as a.45 would surely be fatal very often.
In any case, friends, whether you frequent high crime areas in your travels, or need a defensive weapon to defend your home - you have the right to a personal firearm for self defence, and should you be so inclined, then check out the Taurus Judge.

I don't own any guns either, but I'm glad some of my neighbors do.
Todd, I appreciate this. I have to travel through downtown Houston by myself on occasion and it can get hairy to say the least. This would certainly give me some peace of mind. I like the idea of the shot spreading out because I'm not sure my aim would be steady outside a target range. I don't ever want to have to use a gun to defend myself, but I'm rapidly coming to be a fan of the better to have it and not need it than the other way around mentality. Just look at that 18 yr. old mom in Oklahoma. I hate to think what would have happened to her and her baby if she didn't have a gun.
Hi Wes
Guns scare me but I see where it is better to be safe and sorry. What if the carjacker has a Taurus Judge too?
Voted up and awesome.

Talk about brave, this girl is it. If I remember right, she had just recently burried her husband. Personally, I think she is a model of courage.
I like a rifle over a pistol. Daddy taught me the former and later Mama insisted I learn the later. She carries one to this day. She's up in years now, but I still wouldn't mess with her on the best of days! Thanks for the heads up on the kick. I will watch out for it.
Wes....Another very interesting hub by you, my friend. You never fail to educate and entertain. My personal thoughts on "guns," is fairly simple. As long as the bad guys all have guns (they do and always will) ...the good guys need to be free to own guns legally...to protect and defend. I actually don't see the slightest gap in that statement with room for argument....but, I could be wrong. BTW, Wes, I think you could be a millionaire if you simply bottle your "enthusiasm for wothwhile causes" with your intelligence as a chaser! lol Effer
Well, heck, Wes......you got the "air(e)" part down just fine. You live in the great outdoors, don't ya?
Neighbors?? I thought you lived fairly secluded, down a winding, mysterious road inhabited by ghosts and alien creatures...and had to trek 2 days & nights on your Bike to the nearest semblance of civilization for food & water...I thought you were first cousin to Jeremiah Johnson? Wow, you know how to blow an image, buddy!! lmao..............
Without a single doubt, Wesman, my man...YOU ARE UNIQUE.....ONE OF A KIND....Bless your heart.....I'm sure there are those who would say , "Thank Goodness there's only ONE Wes!!" lmao....just kidding...you know we Hub Ladies love you!!
I'd call that the Judge, jury and undertaker....lol!
I carry the Taurus 24/7 pro c 9mm and just love it!
I don't know if I'd have any hearing left after fireing the Judge in a closed space such as a car but it sure would get the job done.
I'm so sick of these politicians trying to screw with the constitution and the bill of rights.
In the words of the great late Charlton Heston..."From my cold dead hands"!
Great hub by the way!
I've shot one and have lusted after it ever since. Great weapon and a great hub. This comment brought to you from Illinois, the land where some Constitutional amendments are ignored.
I have never owned a gun but I have been seriously thinking about it lately as I am getting older and no longer as physical strong as I once was. This looks like a great choice. Thank you very much for the needful information.
I found your hub interesting. I live in a fairly crowded suburban area and when I was raising my three Sons I would not have even considered having a gun in the house. Even though I grew up on Air Force bases, and my father was a small arms instructor and had his own pistol at home under lock and key, and make sure that all of us children were familiar with and trained to handle guns.
However, once my boys left home and after a divorce, I decided I didn't want to live alone without protection. So I bought a 9 mm and an extra clip, and spent some serious time at the gun range making sure I could handle it safely and properly.
So far, so good. I'm glad that I have never had to use it, but if the worst ever happens, I will be prepared. Thanks for the hub.
phdast7,
every woman should carry a fire arm, here in the North East almost every woman does and the muggers, rapeists and predators go elsewhere for their victims.
Wesman,
Taurus was a Saturday night special company some 10 to 15 years back they produced 125 dollar throw aways, the Judge is in their new line up of some quality pistols. I really like mine, it is a great back up and in a left hand draw shoulder rig it lends itself to a left hand coverage of an attempted car entry of a simple spring loaded center punch the bad guys started carrying. Hit a side window with a 4 pound hammer, it often just bounces off, take a spring center punch press it to the glass and when it pops the glass shatters into tiny bits. So easy a passing motorcycle rider can pop any side or rear window and it's gone while rolling at 65mph. Keeping your eyes on the road a Judge with #5 nickle shot will dust off a rider coming in after the glass is broken to shoot or force you off the road.
Having a professional window tint company apply clear film will make a side glass hold together like a windshield that has the coating sandwiched between two layers.
In the event you are in a car wreck you need to leave some windows breakable so emergency personnel who carry these special tools including a seat belt cutter so they can extract an unconscious or injured person or a vehicle that is under water. Google the E tool it's a orange hammer with cutter and all built in and see all the versions and you can get a follow up hub to the Judge that will make a window open in a crash.
Absolutely a great hub, your info on obama wanting the guns is accurate, it's part of an international treaty that will result in confiscation and ammunition shortages.
Right on with your will to live through a time people think it's a cops job and it is not. Don't want to argue but a search will give all the info required to flesh out a hub on the second amendment.
If all the crazy people anti gunners claim are out there, where were they when Senator Gifford was shot in the face? and just kept shooting others? I've carried in AZ over 5 decades and have not had to draw my pistol but one time and never pointed it at anyone. They saw it and ran, but there exists the time that they won't.
Peace,
dusty
I'm going to buy the three inch, blued steel version of the Judge. The longer barrel will let you use the slugs, not just the shot. Winchester makes a special shell for the Judge, that has three pancake slugs with three huge buck shots. Very impressive grouping as well. With that round, somthing will get hit. Thank you for sharing.
The Taurus Judge is a fantastic weapon, but it does have it's limitations, it is not a super weapon that can shoot down doors but a great weapon to use for home defence, hiking and to stop car jackers, always remember the larger the number of the .410 shot the smaller the shot will be, #8 and 9 are good mostly for dispatching rodents while #4 shot would be good for say stopping wild dogs or animals who may attack you on a trail, the Winchester PDX shells are excellent man stopers(these are shotgun shells with 3 disks and several bb's)I have shot them and believe me they are will stop anyone !Alittle trick I was told to make your .410 shot shells more powerful, take a sharp knife and cut deeply around the shell just above the brass not all the way thru but very deeply, when the shell is fired the entire plastic case fires off with the shot, giving far more striking power especially if you are using the smaller shot like #8 or #9 !As a side note several weeks ago I purchased a used Kel-Tec P32 at the gun show, gun has the clip and was $190, works great, "like chucking corn"
I really do not believe that there is duck shot for the .410, #4 shot is the largest shot before buck shot, .410 is rather small compared to the other larger gauges, the Winchester .410 PDX is the best .410 self-defence a person can buy !What I was saying , if all you should have are .410 shot shells with #8 or #9 shot which are good only for target shooting or small rodents, to give these shells more shock power , you take a sharp knife or razor and cut deeply above the brass on the shell, not too deeply as to cut it off but just deep enough so when the shell is fired the entire shell with the shot shoots out of the gun barrel giving moe striking power, alittle trick I learned from a poster over one of the web gun sites ! Just a word of warning if you or your parents buy the Taurus Judge and take it traveling, these weapons are illegal in California as are the shotgun derringers Bond, American Arms etc, California is another country when it comes to gun laws unfortunately !
California isn't really a bad State in fact I love the beaches there, the problem with California is there are too many left-wing "A" holes who run that State ! Before you buy your Taurus Judge, chck out the S&W Governor .45/.410, seems alittle better than the Judge as it also shoots .45ACP, .45Colt is hard to find and is expensive, far more expensive than .45ACP !I do own the stainless steel Taurus Judge and love the gun !Check out some of your gun shows or gun shops in Texas for a used one ! I picked up mine for $300 ! Some gun shows are very good, and some are not ! The one I went to in Phoenix last week was terrible !!!!! Just over priced junk , RG revolvers for $160 and related crap ! Mostly the same tired old farts trying to unload their junk to people who know zero about guns and their values !
Another weapon I own which is not in the same class as the Taurus Judge but I enjoy equally and that is my Thompson Contender which is chambered for the .45/.410, I like it as it has a 12 inch barrel, shoots not only .45Colt but both two and half inch and also three inch .410 shotgun shells, probably the best all around hunting handgun a person could buy, as the barrel can be removed and replaced with one of another caliber, .22LR,.223,30/30 or even 30/06,and I can even put a telescopic sight on the weapon ! I have also owned the shotgun derringers , American Arms and Bond, they are alright "but" with their very short barrels effective range is very limited , shooting #8 or#9 shot is nearly worthless, lots of noise and recoil but very little penetration as to be almost worthless beyond a few feet ! And unbelievably bad accuracy, but what can be expected from an over and under derringer ?
If I were only allowed one gun, do you know what gun that would be ? Not a Taurus Judge, not a Kel-Tec P32, not a Colt .45 1911 ! The one weapon I would want would be my Ruger single 6 stainless steel .22LR with dual .22 magnum cylinder, it has a 6 inch barrel and adjustable rear sight, when things get bad this is the best survival weapon you can own, build like a tank, simple to operate and ammo is still relatively cheap !.22 magnum can kill a dear and more people are shot and killed with the .22LR than all the other calibers put together !My advice, buy a Ruger stainless steel single six(the newest models now are 10 shot instead of 6 shot) buy several bricks of .22LR and .22magnum ammo (500 rds each)and you will have everything you will need to hunt, and protect yourself and your family during a national emergency ! Even grandma can shoot a .22 Ruger single six they are so simple to shoot and maintain !And I believe you can even mount a scope on the single six !
The Ruger is probably the best value for your money today ! And the Ruger single 6's have been made since the 1950's, and in my opinion are far superior to the Colt single actions, as Ruger uses coil springs not leaf type springs ! I do not want to get into politics, but people should be prepared as it will only be a matter of time before some disaster hits America, either natural or man made and it is best to be prepared, I remember well 20 years ago today living in Hawaii and wondering how my parents were making out in Los Angeles during the Rodney King riots, my father was most happy that I left my .22 revolver with him as there were no police around just looters running down our street ! As a side note and unrelated to your topic, check out "prison planet.com", Alex Jones a fellow Texan who tells it like it is, no left-wing bs, he is also on short wave radio 4.840 MHZ in the evening about 10PM your time !
When you see the price of ammo, $9.50 for 20 rounds of .410 shot shells at Walmart, over $40 for a box of .45Colt ammo, you will get far more use and enjoyment with a .22 Ruger Single 6 !Some of the gun writers laugh at the .22 used for defence but believe me the .22LR is deadly ! Some time back (a few years ago) a young Indian girl in Alaska killed one of the State's largest bears using a .22 rimfire rifle ! And a storey I read about, years ago during the 1950's in what was then British East Africa, now Kenya, a British woman alone in a farm house(her husband and farm hand had gone into town) that was under attack by a gang of Mau Mau terrorists and was able to kill ten terrorists with the only pistol she owned a .22 Colt Woodsman automatic, the woman was a dead shot with the .22, as each Mau Mau terrorist was shot once thru the head ! So believe me a .22 is nothing to laugh at !
Any and all bullets can kill!
I carry the Taurus 24/7 pro C 9mm and I just love this gun, always works correctly, has great sighting and enough kick to get the job done.
I enjoy the lock down key and the chambered round indicator.
I spend many hours on the range honing my shooting skills and enjoying range time with brothers and friends.
I also do a lot of paper punching with my 22lr by Mossburg.
The Taurus guns made today are top quality ! The early Taurus as well as the Rossi some were of rather poor quality(ones made in the 1960's-70's) ! The .22LR has killed more large game than most people know, due to the high cost of ammo some Indian villages in Alaska and Canada a .22LR rifle is the primary hunting weapon for deer! Even here in Arizona it is not uncommon for some of the Navajos to kill deer with the .22LR .
Glad to hear work is picking up in your area, it is still very bad here in Arizona, one of your hands has gone numb, if the problem doesn't go away in a short time suggest you have a doctor check you out as diabetes does start that way ! I am not trying to alarm you but have the problem checked out ! A friend of mine had numbness of one of his legs which turned out to be diabetes, he now has only one leg as he waited to late to solve the problem !
Glad you are feeling better, if you lived in Southern California I would tell you to take a trip to Desert hot springs and check out the hot mineral pools there at most of the motels there , I used to go there every few months when I lived in Los Angeles, the good old days lol !!!I was out target shooting today with my Taurus Judge, used .410 shells #8 shot, cut the plastic shells deeply with a knife ( not cutting the plastic off), and the whole shell hit the target making it a perfect for self-defence !Also seen on the web site an individual in Israel used a Ruger Single Six with .22 magunum to kill a terrorist ! A great survival gun, everyone should own !Check out your gun shows in Texas and your larger swapmeets I'm sure you can find good deals on both of these weapons !

I take issue with "Obama administration would like you to relent all of your Constitutional rights, and eliminate firearms altogether"
In fact, the only firearm legislation Obama has been involved in EXPANDED gun owner's rights.
Are you possibly confused by our interest in international arms control? That has nothing to do with our rights here. See http://www.factcheck.org/2009/12/international-gun
Cool weapon, though :)
