New Atheist Movement Myths

By Wesman Todd Shaw

The New Atheist Movement.

All across America people are angry, and getting angrier. They've nearly always got a good reason for their anger. Most groups of angry persons have very valid and well thought out reasons to justify their anger, and every single day the numbers of angry persons increases significantly.

Everyone is angry about the state of the economy. The Democrats blame the Republicans - and the opposite is even more true, but all the while multi- national corporations and Eurotrash bankers and the Rockefeller family are working to murder everyone and create a global system of governance with a manageable population of slaves just smart enough to run the machines and fill out the paperwork, and just dumb enough to not ask questions.

Everyone with half a brain knows that that 911 terrorist attack was a staged event in which thousand of Americans were murdered by their own government - for the sole purpose of creating endless wars against undefinable enemies to break the American economy so that we'll all be willing to join this global system of government that's been the dream of the wicked since the the allegorical Cain murdered the allegorical Able.

But nobody cares much about that - everyone's busy pointing fingers at their default opposition. The propaganda machine runs 24/7/365 on the airwaves and digital channels in the entire Western World.

But the most distracted persons in the entire world are all members of the New Atheist Movement.

Global Governance - Richard Dawkins Forgot To Mention It.

Richard Dawkins - He's a Biologist, And That's ALL!

The New Atheist Movement vs. Reality

The cohorts, and legions of the New Atheist Movement try to beat theists of all races, religions, and creeds over the head with the same bits of garbage all day, every day - to infinity. The only thing that they seem to have going for them are the facts of evolutionary science, and Richard Dawkins is their scientific false messiah, and Sam Harris; their philosophical and more polite, better looking American role model.

But let me clue you in on something here - These New Atheist Minions wouldn't know reality if it walked up and slapped them upside the head with The Greatest Show On Earth.

Evolutionary science is great. I thoroughly love evolutionary science! When I was 18 years old and attending Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas - I had the single best two teachers that I've ever had, they were a husband and wife team, and they taught Biology for the Science Major - both lecture and lab, and there names were Mr. and Mrs. Pilgrim. I'll never forget the joy that I took from my studies in those classes, and the appreciation that I still retain for their skills as instructors. I learned from them about evolution, and protein synthesis, and cellular respiration; and a million other things as well. But. . . .

Evolutionary Biology is hardly a settled matter. It's an entire science unto itself, and humans sharing 97% of their DNA with chimpanzees in NO WAY PROVES that we share a common ancestor with a monkey.

The Allegory Of Creation - And New Atheist Logical Fallacy.

I'm not a fan of the big bang theory, but it is not in opposition to my faith in the God of creation. I don't buy all of the theory of evolution - but even if I did, that would in no way be in opposition to the faith that I have in the God of Creation either. The God that I believe in uses whichever means that he chooses to use for any reason he chooses at any and every given instance.

The logical fallacy of the atheists such as Richard Dawkins and his millions of followers is that evolutionary science is in opposition to the allegory of creation. That is false, Richard Dawkins and the new atheist hordes might be in opposition to the allegory of creation - but evolutionary science is NOT in opposition to the allegory of creation as laid out in the Torah and/or Bible at all.

Now, when I say these things in debates with these anti theist, they inevitably start saying that their system of faith - and they hate that word, but they do have faith - is based in reality, and that their science proves that they live in reality, and that my faith in a God is based in fantasy.

Pied Pipers -Dawkins, Harris, and Hitchens

The problem with the big three leaders of the new atheist movement is that they don't have much of a clue as to what they are talking about when they try to prove that there is no god based on observable scientific data. Of course modern science can't prove that there is a god - neither can it prove that there isn't one.

Have you ever considered how arrogant it is to believe that all that there is to reality is what is observable with your five human senses? That, my friends, is ARROGANT!

Most traditional [spiritual] paths were developed in prescientific cultures. Consequently, many of their teachings are expressed in terms of cosmologies or world views which we no longer find relevant. . .The question then naturally arises: Is it possible to incorporate both science and mysticism into a single, coherent world view? . . .Up until the first quarter of the twentieth century science was wedded to a materialist philosophy which was inherently antagonistic to all forms of religious insight. With the advent of quantum physics, however, this materialist philosophy has become scientifically untenable. That is, the evidence of science itself contradicts a purely materialistic account of the universe.

If I were to study a science I'd most likely want to study biology. I'm just a nature, outdoors, and animal loving sort of guy. But this physics stuff intrigues me greatly. What it all comes down to is this: Biology is the study of life, but by only studying life and life forms, or the changing over time of life forms - someone like Dawkins with all of his faith in his religion of secular humanism - knows fuck all to nothing about the universe, he can't prove or disprove much of anything, and he and those others of his movement are merely pied pipers of the young and angry pseudo intellectuals of the Western World. If one looks into sub atomic physics and quantum mechanics - it's quickly obvious to an apt pupil that the singular theory of reality that these new atheist preachers espouse is a completely false reality.

Think Jack Nicholson saying,

You Can't Handle The Truth!

Quantum Mechanics - Blowing Minds Everywhere.

Are You Ready For Quantum Mechanics, Ye Atheist Hordes?

According to evolutionary biologist - some, not all - the most recent common ancestor of both humans and chimps (aka CHLCA) lived about 6 million years ago. Most every biologist everywhere agrees that most people can't understand quantum mechanics at all, and chimpanzees certainly can not. So, if humans evolved from the CHLCA, a rather un proven claim, then certainly the modern chimpanzee is more intelligent than this supposed common ancestor - or evolution would be working in reverse.

The point here is this: In the past six million years the chimpanzee and the human race supposedly evolved from the CHLCA, so it stands to reason that according to the mechanics of evolutionary biology that the modern chimpanzee, is certainly a more intelligent being - but can't grasp quantum mechanics - and this, my friends, stands in opposition to the idea that somehow the human race can over the same time frame evolve into a race of beings that can understand everything.

I'll be a monkey's uncle if that's the case - that humans can understand everything. Humans don't know much of anything, there is more to know than we can even sense with our five senses, and there's nothing in evolutionary biology that can even begin to imply that there is no intelligent designer, and modern physics seems to prove that.

What science needs, what the entire world needs - are more people who are seeking knowledge in physics, and less fans of arrogant British biologist that push a singular theory of reality agenda in order to promote their religion of secular humanist propaganda.

so, please explain how quantum mechanics supports theism. you hint at it, but never get down to brass tacks.

Wesman Todd Shaw profile image

Wesman Todd Shaw Hub Author 10 months ago

It doesn't. What it does is prove that large portions of what is assumed to be real - isn't the whole truth.

For instance - quantum mechanic experimentation seems to prove that a piece of matter (any) can be in two places at the same time.

Quantum mechanics blows so many things out of the water - things that we'd always consider known - that it proves that there is more than we'll ever even begin to know. So saying that evolution proves that there is no intelligent designer is about as smart as saying that five plus five equals three - there's no proof whatsoever in evolutionary science that can disprove any existence of beings more intelligent than we are.

that's why i'm only 99% sure there is no god. i just barely qualify as an agnostic on the days i'm not an atheist. it would be nice if there were an afterlife communing with the warm golden glow of eternal love. i just see no evidence for it except that we would like it to be so. i recommend bertrand russell's "why i am not a christian". it's hard not to like russell, born a noble only to give away his riches to the poor and devote himself to the progress of modern pohilosophy.

I'd like to own and read that book! I'm penniless, and so I write online daily hoping to someday make some income from this.

Of course I have made money here on hubpages - but it's not paying the bills at all.

Yes, so long as you don't claim to KNOW that there is no God, you're cool with me.

i clicked on an ad on this hub and will do so again. not much help, but it's all i can do for now.

:-) I have the book Todd, when I get paid in August, I can send ya a copy. Smile, it takes more energy to frown than to smile. I think Nietzsche had it right when he stated "The last Christian died on the cross." This never points at the rest of his writings which were super insightful. Then again, as a Nobel prize winner who was a true philanthropist, Albert Schweitzer was a true mover of people, as a medicine man and humanist, and in the end "Actions speak louder than words" and spiritual elements are INDEED an immersed element in "quantum mechanics" of wave movements. In the end all leads to peace. In my humble opinion. "http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/laureates" You want genius? Read Schweitzer with your eyes WIDE OPEN. Wesman, interesting article that tells me you are smarter than what you let on, this stuff makes my head hurt but it's a subject not to be over looked. There is life smarter than we puny earthlings as the mechanics of our existence are so in tune with each other that adjustments continue to work with he change of eras of time. The bible says there is a season for all things, so to me it's figuring out what season we are in and what will be the adjustments made to further the season and continue until the great timer goes ding and the fries are done.

In jest?

Hi Wes, voted up and funny, you really are turning cynicism into an art form. I can hear your words shouting through the computer screen. I have a hard time finding someone who takes Dawkins seriously, but Christopher Hitchens is dangerous; he may be arrogant, but he’s darn brilliant. You certainly know how to shoot a round off in a submarine, that bullet bounces all over, taking everyone out…then the ship. When are you going to take a picture of your third eye and post it ;-)

Thank you very much, Sir! Have you seen Sam Harris speak???? HE'S DANGEROUS!

I'm hoping that Chris Hitchens recovers from his cancer - I like him. It's difficult to not like someone so sincere as Hitch is.

Tex Shelters 10 months ago

On Dawkins: He's "only a biolgist". ha ha, that's funny.

That's like saying that Hawking is "only a physicist". Is it that you hate Africans? (It's a joke, son, but this is a link to his bio) http://natgeotv.com/uk/dawkins-darwin-evolution/da

Any time you are a "minion" of anything, there's a problem, but that doesn't mean the evolutionists and atheists are wrong. And how many wars have the atheist started, or how many shootings have atheists been involved in recently? Yea, the Soviets were anti-theistic, but it was economics and serfdom that fueled the Russian revolution, not atheism.

So, I will put my lot in with the scientists, and try to be a good human despite my heathen ways.

Peace,

Tex Shelters

Hi Wes,

Voted up up and away!

You have something that many people lack and that is common sense.

If someone believes in God or doesn't, it should be their choice. It doesn't need to be scientifically proven. That's what faith is all about.

Thank you very much, Sueswan!!!!! There's huge doses of hatred of theism about in the nation, and it's by design. The Rockefeller Foundation determined to make this the age of "secular humanism," and when you are worth trillions of dollars you can most certainly create memes of hatred at will.

WTS, there is but one thing we must always remember when dealing with the aetheist solution, and that is their adherence to the survival of the strongest. Although they can speak of compassion and mercy, when the rubber hits the road, they cling to the darwinistic survival of the fittest. Their solution for the survival of the human race is they themselves becoming and staying the strongest and the fittest. They don't believe in mingling with the poor and needy. Like the Pharisees and Saducees, they ask those who trust in faith and a higher power, why we mingle with the rabble, with those they have labeled unworthy. For them, the worthy are the ones that keep up with the times and don't allow themselves to be run over by the corporations and global businesses. For them, it is assimilate or die. Science makes the simple truth sound complicated. Science often calls its knowledge a theory but they expect everyone to take their discovery as fact until a better and deeper understanding can be found. When they thought the world was flat, you had to think it too, or be a heretic. When they thought the stars and sun travelled around the earth, you had to believe it or be considered a heretic. Nothing has changed. Anyone not heeding their "knowledge" is a heretic and religious zealot who won't move into the 21st century. Well, I believe Christ could take a man with a withered limb, and bring it back to life simply by commanding it to be so. I believe Christ could walk on water. I believe Christ could heal the blind and cure disease. He didn't need science, just the authority given to Him by His Father. So, if He didn't need science, I wonder why it is, we do. Let their be light - and there was light. Not too difficult for anyone who believes there is someone outside of this polluted fishbowl watching out for us. Peace

Hey A.M. - it's amazing that I hadn't thought of the connection there - "social Darwinism."

I've got to think about that and write about it!

With respect, that's a rather poor and simplistic interpetation of Darwin's theory offered by Mr Werner.

Atheists can accept or reject Jesus's ideas on morality (or any of the other of the ethical systems on offer, religous or secular, for that matter). What they don't accept is the supernatural mumbo-jumbo that religious people attach to their ethics: people walking on water, magic tricks with water and wine, burning bushes that have conversations with people etc.

Religion appeals to the emotions. Science is about reasoning, a different type of thinking.

Wesman Todd Shaw profile image

Wesman Todd Shaw Hub Author 9 months ago

Hey Paul Goodman!!!! All comments are honored. Polite and reasonable comments get double honor!!!!

I'm sure that you are correct about science being mostly concerned with reasoning - and that's exactly as science should be. What troubles me is when the only science given grant/research money is the science that some corporation or political ideal seeks to exploit and sell everyone via mass media.

"Everyone with a brain knows" that 9/11 was an inside job? Substitute that phrase with "Thirty percent of people who believe in absurd conspiracy theories and fairy tales about gods and demons know" and perhaps the statement will have some credibility among rational, critical thinking people.

Problem with atheists is that they have turned Atheism into a religion, just like the communists turned Communism into a religion when in both cases they were meant to squeeze out accepted forms of religion. In North Korea the poor sods don't know where to put themselves when the regime passes down from father to son. The idea of Communism was meant to challenge the notion of inherited power. They might as well have a king and have done with it. Kings, initially, were 'sacrificial lambs' who were feted for a day before they were taken, drugged, to the chopping block (pretty much like Charles I, except his 'drug' was the belief that he was appointed by God... weird how things come back round the other way and knock you off your feet)! When the Romans conquered another land they adopted one or more of the beliefs of that land, just as the Vikings did, importing bits of other beliefs that suited them.

With true Atheism you could finish up on life's chopping block, and you yourself would be the executioner because you'd be fed up with life. Full stop.

Thanks Sir - and I did a good ten or more years thinking all established religious notions were the ultimate bullshit.

Interestingly enough - enough methamphetamine shot straight into my blood ..changed my mind forever.

Misty shapes passing through the walls that won't go away...except with prayer - changed my mind.

What human system has ever been incorruptible by human price? Human Lust? Human Greed?

None so far as I know - thus the inherent failure of atheism.

My two cents.
